Before beginning her career in government relations and political consulting, Tiffany spent 8 years working for the City of Chicago in a variety of roles.  She most recently was Director of Legislative and Community of Affairs at the Chicago Park District, leading the Park District’s legislative efforts with federal, state, and city governments, including supporting elected officials and their work with the Park District.  During her time at the Park District she also successfully advocated for funding for over $10M in Congressional Project Funding/earmark requests.

Tiffany also served Mayor Lori Lightfoot as Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, where she oversaw all legislative activity for the City Council and maintained strong professional relationships with City Legislators. She was also the primary legislative advisor to senior Mayoral staff and City department leadership, including the development of strategies for engagement with City Council. She successfully executed the Mayor’s legislative and policy initiatives including vast ethics reforms, Fair Workweek legislation, $15 Minimum Wage reforms and managing the City Council response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  She also organized and managed the implementation of virtual City Council meetings.

Tiffany also served as an Assistant Director in the City’s Department of Finance and as an attorney for the City’s Legislative Reference Bureau under President Pro Tempore Margaret Laurino. Prior to her career with the City of Chicago, Tiffany spent several years as a management consultant for IBM, served U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman, and interned for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Tiffany has a BS in Public Policy from Indiana University-Bloomington, graduated cum laude with a JD from Loyola University Chicago, and completed a fellowship at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.

 

Tiffany is known for her innovative and collaborative approach to leadership, as well as her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She is a dynamic and engaging thought leader who prides herself on deep interpersonal relationships.  In addition to her professional work, Tiffany is also deeply committed to her family and community. She is a loving wife and mother and volunteers her time with a variety of organizations including the Big Shoulders Fund, Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, and the Cook County Bar Association.
