The Black Women Lawyers’ Association Scholarship Fund (BWLA-SF) endeavors to encourage African-American women in the law through support in their legal education and to promote diversity in the legal profession.
PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP: The purpose of the BWLA-SF Fall Book Scholarship is to meet a portion of the financial need of law students.
QUALIFICATIONS: (1) complete and sign the application, including answering all application questions; (2) attend an ABA accredited law school; (3) be returning for at least one more semester in the 2019-2020 school year; (4) demonstrate a commitment to public service or diversity (evidenced by current leadership or participation in community service or outreach); (5) have unmet financial needs; (6) supply a letter of good standing from your school’s registrar; and (6) an official transcript.
AWARD: BWLA-SF will award up to ten $1,000.00 dollar book scholarships in November 2019.
